An upgraded focal plane detector for the MAGNEX spectrometer

چکیده

An upgraded and improved version of the Focal Plane Detector (FPD) large-acceptance magnetic spectrometer MAGNEX is described here. The FPD consists a tracker operating at low pressure silicon detector wall. Thanks to different geometry electron multiplication induction elements, new guarantees superior signal noise ratio, resulting in more accurate tracking cleaner identification detected heavy ions. has been tested by using 18O beam an energy 84 MeV. A description that pinpoints innovation obtained performances given discussed details.
